Jilly Mc Ateer is a Dublin based visual artist. In 2014 she graduated from the National College of Art and Design with a first class honours in Fine Print and Visual Culture. Upon graduating Jilly also received a number of awards including the Royal Dublin Society’s Fine Print Award, the Graphic Studio’s Graduate Award, and the Print-Makers Gallery Purchase Award.
All humans interpret and manipulate their surroundings in an attempt to meet the intangible, existential needs of companionship, purpose, freedom and hope. Jilly’s work explores this impulse and gestures to the underlying spiritual vacuum at the heart of the human condition.
