Jack House Gallery
Opened in April 2015 this is a contemporary art gallery situated in Old Portsmouth just up the road from Portsmouth Cathedral and a short walk to the Dockyard. Owner Rebecca Crow trained as a painter, but for many years has focused on curating most recently in the Middle East. Jack House Gallery is much more than a shop selling art as we seek to nurture and collaborate with artists to develop a body of work as well as to develop new audiences for contemporary art, particularly painting, drawing and fine art printmaking. The gallery programme is enhanced with related events, talks and projects and we encourage local schools and organisations to enjoy what we do here.
Buying from Jack House Gallery
We want to make buying art at JHG as easy as possible for you which is why we try to ensure that prices are shown on our website. However we can’t always keep up so if you see something on the website or have seen something when you have visited the gallery and you wish to know the price, size etc. please don’t hesitate to contact us by email or by phone and we will get back to you immediately.
Buying a piece of art is a very important bit of decision making and because of this we are happy to let you ‘try-out’ the artwork by making an arrangement to allow you to take a piece home to live with it to make sure you are making the right choice. We can also arrange staggered payment terms within reason. Please contact the gallery for details of how we do this.
We are very experienced in packaging and sending art to all parts of the globe and are happy to get quotes to do this.
We accept all credit cards, cheques and of course cash.
Space Hire
Jack House Gallery is well situated on High Street, Old Portsmouth and is a beautifully stylish space available for hire for events, social gatherings, pop-up retail, product launches and meetings.
